Open Surgical Simulation System (OS3)
Product Overview
The Open Surgical Simulation System (OS3) in conjunction with the Advanced Surgical Skills Packages (ASSPs) provides residents and fellows with a Hyper Realistic? high fidelity training model for trauma and general surgery scenarios. This advanced system enables trainees to fully immerse themselves in the training process to the point where they suspend their disbelief and believe they are operating on a real person rather than a simulation trainer. The OS3 offers extensive injury pattern capabilities covering chest abdominal and vascular trauma scenarios. It allows for hands on experience in managing complex surgical cases ensuring trainees gain critical decision making and procedural skills in a controlled yet lifelike environment. ? Key Features: Hyper Realistic? high fidelity surgical simulation for trauma and general surgery training Extensive injury pattern capabilities including chest abdominal and vascular injuries Supports critical surgical interventions allowing trainees to practice life saving procedures Enables simulation of complex surgical tasks in realistic trauma scenarios Integrates with the Advanced Surgical Skills Packages for enhanced training realism Injury Patterns Capabilities: Chest injuries: Pneumothorax Hemothorax Pericardial Tamponade Right Ventricular Laceration Left Lung Lower Lobe Bleeding Abdominal injuries: Hemoperitoneum Grade IV Liver Splenic and Left Renal Injuries Expanding Hematomas Small Bowel Colon and Ureteral Injuries Major Blood Vessel Injuries (Left External Iliac Artery Inferior Vena Cava) Possible Procedures: Needle Decompression Chest Tube Thoracostomy Resuscitative Left Anterolateral Thoracotomy Cross clamping of the thoracic aorta Pericardiotomy Right Ventricular Pledgeted Cardiorrhaphy Left Lung Wedge Resection Internal Cardiac Massage Exploratory Laparotomy Supraceliac Aortic Clamping Abdominal Packing Pringle Maneuver Mattox and Cattell Braasch maneuvers (left and right medial visceral rotations) Kocher Maneuver for optimal surgical access Hepatorrhaphy Splenectomy Left Nephrectomy Bowel Resection with Anastomosis Primary Repair or Shunting of Left External Iliac Artery Injury Suprapubic Catheter Placement Delivery Contents:?
