BS 718 : 1961 is generally aligned with ISO 649. This sub-series has a greater accuracy than the standard L50 Series, and is only available over a limited range. The length is 335mm and the range span covers 0.050 g/ml at 15?C with divisions to 0.0005 g/ml at 15?C. They are adjusted at 15?C and suitable for low surface tension. This sub-series is commonly used in the Petroleum industry and corresponds to IP 160. All hydrometers can be supplied with UKAS certification, certificate traceable to Recognised National Standard or Statement of Conformity, if required.
